Satellite meeting on the EMCDDA Key Indicator ‘Drug Related Deaths’ (DRD) for IPA7 Beneficiaries

This year’s Drug-related deaths (DRD) expert meeting main topics included the latest data and trends of drug related deaths, including opioid related deaths (based on reports of 2020); the impact and implications of the COVID-19 pandemic on DRD; a new project on mortality cohort studies; cross indicator validation of the DRD figures; and the revision of the DRD reporting templates.  Experts representing both Special Mortality register and General Mortality Register from all EU countries, Norway, Turkey and IPA7 beneficiaries were invited to attend.

As has been the case since the beginning of the EMCDDA-IPA7 project, IPA7 partners are also invited to attend the online satellite meeting, reserved for the partners of the project, with the end objective of building upon the monitoring of drug-related deaths and exploring the already available data in the region.
